172 decals for PS1-style horror and 3D games, as PNGs: blood, bullet holes and damage, grime, graffiti, floor and wall markings, signs, posters and notes. Drawn in the PS1's own pixels: 15-bit colour with its dither and hard cutout edges, so they sit on a low-poly wall instead of looking printed on it. Two sets, 128 px and 64 px, each drawn at its size.

Try it first: click Run asset pack above: a dim concrete room in your browser, dressed as you watch, to put any decal on any wall or floor.

What's inside

  • Blood (30): splats, spatter, drips, smears, drag trails, pools, handprints and hand smears, bloody footprints, drops, a spray arc and old dried stains.
  • Damage (40): bullet holes in concrete, metal, wood, tile and glass, cracked glass, buckshot, hole clusters, wall and floor cracks, scorch and burn marks, soot plumes, claw marks, plaster broken to brick, peeling paint and scuffs.
  • Grime (34): water stains, rust streaks, mould, damp, dirt, oil, puddles, leaks, skirting grime, moss, cobwebs, muddy footprints, tyre marks and soft shadows to ground a prop.
  • Graffiti (27): GET OUT, HELP ME, IT SEES YOU, BEHIND YOU, NO WAY OUT, WHERE IS SHE and ten more in spray, marker, chalk, blood and brush; tallies, arrows, an eye, a pentagram, a spiral, a smiley and a tag.
  • Markings (27): stencilled EXIT, NO ENTRY, DANGER, floor and room numbers, hazard stripes, floor arrows and lines, and metal signs: biohazard, radiation, high voltage, no entry, exit.
  • Paper (14): MISSING and HAVE YOU SEEN posters, notices, torn posters, sticky notes, newspapers, loose sheets and polaroids.

  • Transparent PNGs, plus an effects.json with each decal's size, and how to place it: the anchor, its height in metres, whether it goes on a floor or a wall, and whether it can be turned at random (blood, holes, grime) or reads one way up (writing, signs, drips).

  • Godot 4 player included: PSXDecal.place(self, "blood_pool_1", hit.position, hit.normal) lays it on the surface, sized, lit, sharp and cut out, a hair off it so stacked decals don't flicker.
  • Import steps for Unity and any other engine in the README.
