54 PS1-style vehicles, the street to park them on and an impound lot to break out of: sedans, a police car and a taxi, muscle coupes, hatchbacks, wagons, SUVs, a sheriff's SUV and a hearse, pickups, vans, an ambulance and an ice cream van, box trucks, tow trucks and a fire engine, a school bus and a city bus, bicycles, motorcycles and a moped, fresh off the lot or rusted, burned out, crushed and dumped. Doors, hoods, trunks and wheels are separate parts that open, roll and steer. Low-poly, point-filtered, in GLB, FBX and OBJ, with a Godot addon, a Unity package and a level to walk and solve.

Try it first: click Run asset pack above and walk the level in your browser: they towed your car to the county impound and the lot's shut for the night. The gate opens from the guard booth, and its motor's dead. The booth key is by the tow truck; in the booth, the gate's switch and a charged battery for the motor. WASD and the mouse, E uses things, F for the torch, P for the PS1 shader; or turn every vehicle over in the gallery (A for all 95 props at once). Or take a few into your project first: PSX Vehicles Free has a sedan and its wreck, a pickup, a bicycle and a stretch of street, free under CC BY.

The PSX Bundle: from 8 to 31 October, all our PSX packs are in one bundle for less than a third of their price.

What's inside

  • Cars (28): a boxy sedan in five colours, a police car whose beacons turn, a taxi, muscle coupes, hatchbacks, station wagons, SUVs in black, green and silver, a sheriff's SUV with its light bar and push bar, and a hearse; a car under its cover, and the wrecks: rusted, up on cinder blocks, burned out.
  • Trucks and vans (16): pickups, panel vans, a plumber's van, an ice cream van whose serving hatch opens, an ambulance, a movers' box truck, a tow truck whose boom raises and whose amber beacons turn, a fire engine with its ladder, lockers and red beacons; rusted and burned out.
  • Buses (3): a school bus whose doors fold and whose stop arm, emergency door and hood swing out, a city bus with two sets of folding doors, and a school bus left to rot.
  • Bikes (7): bicycles whose cranks turn, motorcycles and a moped whose forks steer, and a bicycle and a motorcycle dumped on their side.
  • Street (33): road in 6 by 4 m pieces, straight, with a crossing and cracked, parking bays, pavement and kerb, dirt and gravel, corrugated fences, a brick wall, a garage door whose shutter rolls up, cones, sawhorse and jersey barriers, a speed bump, tires loose and stacked, a wheel, an engine block, a car door, a hubcap, a jerry can, a battery, cars crushed into blocks and stacked, a wheel clamp, a street lamp, a hydrant, a stop sign, a tow-away sign, a parking meter and a gas pump.
  • The impound lot (8): a guard booth to walk into, its door locked until its key turns; a sliding gate on its rail, its motor and the switch that opens it; a charged battery, the key and the lot's sign.
  • 6 working machines (PSX Puzzle Machinery's scripts): the key unlocks the booth, the battery goes in the gate's motor, and the motor and the switch run the gate. They're wired by what needs what, in Godot and in Unity.
  • A demo level, the impound lot at night, 241 pieces with its lamps' light, to walk and solve: the lot's lane from the gate to the tow company's garage, cars in rows, some clamped, a tow truck, a fire engine and a box truck laid up, crushed cars in a corner, and outside, the street and a sheriff's SUV at the kerb.
  • 364 animations on the moving parts: each door, the hood and the trunk or tailgate open alone or all at once, the wheels roll and the front ones steer. The parts are separate objects on their hinges and axles, so your code can drive them too.
  • 95 icons, 256x256 PNGs with transparency, rendered from the models.
  • 8 to 2,072 triangles a prop, one 1024x1024 texture atlas for the whole pack, shading baked into the vertex colours, real-world scale.

Godot 4.3 to 4.7

An addon with a scene per prop: box colliders on every part (the moving ones move with them, the booth's walls leave its doorway clear), an AnimationPlayer where it moves, machine.gd on every prop that works, one lit material so your headlights and flashlight fall on them, and a gallery with the level to walk and solve. Tested on Godot 4.3 and 4.7, on Forward+, Mobile and Compatibility.

# police_car, gate_motor, lot_gate: the props in your level
police_car.get_node("AnimationPlayer").play("open_front_left")
police_car.find_child("police_car_wheel_front_left").rotation.y = steer
lot_gate.needs = [lot_gate.get_path_to(gate_motor)]
gate_motor.use(carried)

The full PS1 look

The vehicles are made for PSX Look, our PS1 shaders for Godot 4: wobbling vertices, warping textures, 240p, dither and 15-bit colour, over your level in one line. The captures on this page are the props through it. PSX Look has a free sampler too.

The rest of the town

PSX Apartment Kit is a condemned apartment block in modular pieces to park them outside, and PSX Hospital Kit an abandoned hospital. PSX Furniture furnishes the houses and PSX Horror Props has what a survival horror game hides in the glovebox: keys, padlocks, meds and ammo. PSX Textures has 138 seamless textures for the rest of the street, and PSX Skyboxes the night skies over these captures, 26 skies in all.

Unity 6.3

A .unitypackage with a prefab per prop (colliders and animation clips), Machine.cs on the machines, a PSX unlit shader for Built-in and URP, the icons as UI sprites, a demo scene and the level to walk and solve.

Other engines

GLB (animations as clips), FBX (animations as takes) and OBJ, one file per prop, with the atlas, and the whole pack in one .blend.

Made with AI assistance (code, text, models and textures, all generated by code), checked by eye and tested in Godot 4.3 and 4.7 and Unity 6.3.

Inspect before placing: the downloadable Godot gallery has a clear, fog-free catalog. Drag to turn, use the arrows to browse, or press A to see the whole collection. The lit level overview helps you see the layout; W enters the atmospheric walk with readable puzzle instructions.
