14 PS1-style guns for your first-person game, and their parts move: slides kick back, magazines drop out, cylinders swing open, pumps rack, bolts and levers cycle, barrels break open. Every gun also comes in a pair of first-person arms that draw, fire, reload and inspect it. With the ammo, magazines, grenades, crates and targets that go with them. Low-poly, point-filtered, in GLB, FBX and OBJ, with a Godot addon and a Unity package ready to drop in.

Try it first: click Run asset pack above, press G and shoot every gun on an indoor range in your browser: WASD to walk, the mouse to look, left click to fire, right click to aim down the sights, R to reload, I to inspect, the wheel to change guns. The ammo behind the booths fills your pockets, the targets swing when hit. Or take two of them into your project first: PSX Firearms Free has the pistol and the pump shotgun with their animations, free under CC BY.

The PSX Bundle: from 8 to 31 October, all our PSX packs are in one bundle for less than a third of their price.

Also in bundles: Godot 4 3D Bundle, PSX Horror Complete.

What's inside

  • Handguns (5): a 9mm and a .45 pistol, a .38 revolver, a .44 magnum, a flare gun.
  • Shotguns (3): pump, double-barrel and sawn-off.
  • Rifles and automatics (6): a bolt-action hunting rifle, a lever-action rifle, an assault rifle, a submachine gun, a machine pistol and a grenade launcher.
  • Ammo (14): boxes for every calibre, a loose shotgun shell, pistol, rifle and SMG magazines, a speedloader, a flare cartridge and a 40 mm grenade.
  • Gear (5): a hand grenade whose pin pulls, an ammunition crate and a gun case that open, a steel and a paper target that react to a hit.
  • 33 animations: every gun fires (the trigger, the hammer, the slide or bolt) and reloads, pumps, works its bolt or its lever. The parts are separate objects, so your code can drive them too.
  • First-person arms (14): each gun in PS1-style hands and sleeves, one view model to put under your camera, with 73 animations of their own: idle, draw, fire, reload (and pump, bolt or lever), inspect. Handguns are held one-handed, the way the PS1 did; aiming turns the gun onto the target, and the hunting rifle's scope fills the screen.
  • 33 inventory icons, 256x256 PNGs with transparency, rendered from the models.
  • 12 to 384 triangles a prop, one 512x512 texture atlas for the whole pack, shading baked into the vertex colours, real-world scale.

Made for first person

Each gun's pivot sits in its grip and its muzzle points the way the model faces. props.json has where its muzzle and sights are, its ammo, rounds, rate of fire and which animations fire and reload it: the numbers to put it in a camera's hand and flash its muzzle. Or take its first-person arms (fp_pistol and so on), whose origin is the eye: put one under your camera and play its clips, its muzzle and sights already in the camera's space. The demo's range does just that, and its script is yours to start from.

Godot 4.3 to 4.7

An addon with a scene per prop: box colliders on every part (the moving ones move with them), an AnimationPlayer where it moves, one lit material so your muzzle flash lights them, and a gallery with the range. Tested on Godot 4.3 and 4.7, on Forward+, Mobile and Compatibility.

# pistol: the gun in your player's hand
pistol.get_node("AnimationPlayer").play("reload")

The full PS1 look

The guns are made for PSX Look, our PS1 shaders for Godot 4: wobbling vertices, warping textures, 240p, dither and 15-bit colour, over your level in one line. The captures on this page are the guns through it.

A survival horror arsenal

The 9mm and shotgun ammo are PSX Horror Props' boxes, the other calibres drawn to match, so what your player picks up in the save room fits what they carry. For the halls to carry it through, PSX Hospital Kit is an abandoned hospital to the same scale and look.

For their sound, PSX Horror SFX has a shot for each of the 14 and the slide, magazine, cylinder, pump, break-open, bolt and lever actions to reload them, PS1-style, among 294 survival horror sounds (30 free).

For the screens around them, PSX Horror UI is a PS1 survival horror menu kit for Godot 4 (inventory, examine, map, files, typewriter save) whose item icons are rendered from these guns.

For their gunfire, PSX FX is 45 PS1-style effects with a Godot player: muzzle flashes, impacts, blood, fire and explosions.

Unity 6.3

A .unitypackage with a prefab per prop (colliders and animation clips), a PSX unlit shader for Built-in and URP, the inventory icons as UI sprites, and a demo scene.

Other engines

GLB (animations as clips), FBX (animations as takes) and OBJ, one file per prop, with the atlas, and the whole pack in one .blend.
